Birriliburu Pty Ltd is an Aboriginal-led land management company serving all Martu members. We combine cultural knowledge with growing commercial expertise, guided by creativity, resilience, teamwork and principled action, to manage Country, create jobs, and build long-term economic opportunities for our people.
Birriliburu Country is around 6.6 million hectares in size and stretches from the nationally significant Katjarra area (Carnarvon Range) to Mungarlu (Constance Headland) along Western Australia’s famous Canning Stock Route, to pastoral stations in the south.
Birriliburu Country joins the Martu determination to the north and links up with the Wiluna Martu determination and the Matuwa Kurrara Kurrara Indigenous Protected Area to the south. It covers three bio-geographic regions of Australia - the Little Sandy Desert, Gibson Desert and the Gascoyne.
Fun fact - the Birriliburu IPA is just shy of the size of Tasmania!
